QUOTE & INSTALLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Structure of the Quote
  • Exclusively a Quote: This document constitutes a quote only. It does not represent a binding contract or a formal proposal until it is explicitly accepted by the Customer in writing and subsequently confirmed by our operations team.

  • Validity Period: Unless explicitly stated otherwise on the face of the quote, this pricing is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Prices may vary after this period due to fluctuating material costs, wholesale equipment pricing, or government rebate changes.

2. Workmanship Warranty vs. Out-of-Scope Service
  • 5-Year Workmanship Warranty: We provide a comprehensive 5-year workmanship warranty from the date the system is commissioned. This covers the physical installation, electrical wiring, and structural mounting directly executed by our technicians.

  • Out-of-Warranty Service Fee: Any service calls, fault investigations, or maintenance requests falling outside the explicit scope of our 5-year workmanship warranty will be charged at our standard service rate of $140 per hour, per person (GST inclusive), plus the cost of any necessary materials.

  • Manufacturer Warranty Callouts: Equipment and product warranties (including inverters, batteries, and solar panels) are held directly with the respective manufacturer. If a component fails and requires an on-site callout, diagnostics, removal, or re-installation, these labor costs are not covered by our workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranty callouts will be billed at our standard $140 per hour, per person rate unless the manufacturer explicitly covers our third-party labor costs.

  • Remote Travel Fees: Properties located outside our standard metropolitan service radius will incur travel fees. For out-of-warranty service or maintenance calls, travel expenses, vehicle mileage, and technician transit time will be quoted separately or added directly to the service invoice.

3. Scope of Standard Installations

To maintain transparent, competitive pricing, all quotes are calculated based on a "Standard Installation" profile. Any site configurations falling outside these parameters will require a variation.

3A. Standard Solar Installation Includes:
  • Single-storey roof access with a roof pitch under 30° using standard corrugated iron/tin or standard concrete tiles.

  • Splitting solar panels across a maximum of two (2) separate roof orientations (strings/arrays).

  • A clear, unobstructed cable and conduit run from the solar array to the main switchboard up to a maximum of 15 linear meters (lm).

  • Installation of the solar inverter within 3 meters of the main switchboard.

  • Standard grid connection assuming compliant, safe, and pre-existing electrical infrastructure.

3B. Standard Battery Installation Includes:
  • Installation of the battery unit on a structurally sound, level concrete ground pad or a compliant brick/concrete wall directly adjacent to the main switchboard.

  • Configuration of up to three (3) essential backup circuits (unless explicitly itemized otherwise in the custom quote scope).

  • Clear, unobstructed conduit and cable pathways between the battery, inverter, and switchboard up to a maximum of 15 linear meters (lm).

4. Variations, Exclusions & Day-of-Install Additions

The Customer acknowledges that this quote is prepared based on initial site notes, customer descriptions, and digital aerial surveying. Physical site conditions discovered upon a hands-on inspection on the day of installation may require variations to price and scope.

4A. Mandatory Installation Additions

Should our installers discover site defects, safety hazards, or regulatory non-compliance on the day of installation that must be rectified to legally or safely complete the scope of work (e.g., degraded switchboards, hidden asbestos, un-bonded consumer mains, structurally compromised rafters, or mandatory compliance upgrades):

  • These works will be presented to the Customer as a mandatory quote variation on the day.

  • Restocking Fee: If the Customer refuses to accept the mandatory additions required to complete the installation safely and legally, the installation will be aborted. A restocking and cancellation fee equivalent to 10% of the total quote value will be charged to the Customer to cover logistics, engineering, and scheduling losses.

4B. Recommended Installation Additions

Should our installers suggest performance-optimizing or safety-enhancing upgrades that are highly encouraged but not legally mandatory to complete the core installation:

  • These will be presented to the Customer on the day as optional additions.

  • Signed Waiver Required: If the Customer chooses not to accept these recommended additions, we require a signed waiver acknowledging that professional advice was provided and rejected, completely indemnifying us against any subsequent performance drops, system inefficiencies, or related structural/electrical issues.

4C. General Exclusions (Not Accounted for in Standard Quotes)

Unless explicitly itemized as a line item on your quote, the following items, materials, and infrastructure conditions are completely excluded and will result in additional charges on the day of install:

  • Roof Types & Materials: Installation on premium, fragile, or complex roof materials—including Terracotta tiles, slate, decramastic roofs, or materials containing asbestos—is strictly excluded.

  • Steep Roof Pitch: Any roof area featuring a pitch over 30° that requires specialized fall-protection setups, roof anchors, or harness rigging.

  • Multi-Storey Access: Any property exceeding a single storey (e.g., two-storey, three-storey, or split-level homes) requiring specialized long-reach ladders, scaffolding, or edge protection.

  • Extended Cable Runs: Any total cable and conduit run between system components that exceeds 15 linear meters (lm).

  • Battery Fireproofing: The supply and installation of specialized non-combustible backing or fire-rated barrier walls required by Australian standards when a battery backs onto an active living space.

  • Mechanical Protection (Bollards): The supply, core-drilling, and installation of safety impact bollards if a battery is positioned in a designated vehicle transit zone (e.g., garages, carports, driveways).

  • Remote Travel Surcharges: Any installation site located beyond a 1-hour drive radius from the Adelaide CBD (calculated via Google Maps). This will incur a travel surcharge to cover highway transit time, vehicle mileage, and overnight team allowances where applicable.

  • Infrastructure Upgrades: Switchboard upgrades, smart-meter links, replacing obsolete ceramic fuses with compliant circuit breakers, or rectifying pre-existing sub-standard electrical consumer wiring.

  • Civil & Specialized Works: Trenching, concrete cutting, complex underground wire runs, or the removal and disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos) discovered mid-installation.

5. Customer Obligations
  • Internet Connection: For system monitoring, remote diagnostics, and performance optimization, the Customer is entirely responsible for providing and maintaining a stable, compatible internet connection (Wi-Fi or hardwired ethernet) at the installation location. System tracking dropouts due to local internet failures or router modifications do not constitute a system or workmanship fault.

  • Site Access: The Customer must ensure safe, clear, and convenient access to the roof space, switchboards, and all necessary internal pathways for our installation team on the scheduled day.

By accepting your quote, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Quote and Installation Terms and Conditions.
